Third Story Perspective

I wrote this story during my elective (Writing your own life). I had to try to write in a third perspective and share it with the rest of the class. I decided to write about my adventure in year twelve - specifically this one because it was one of my favorite memories and it still makes me laugh to this day. I had to read it out loud and half way through I cracked up laughing and couldn’t stop. I have to admit though, it kinda made my day for some strange reason haha SO here it is, my crappy third perspective story:

“Heal!” Sera said, pressing her palm onto her best friend’s forehead continuously. She laughed, while Kim, her best friend since grade three, felt agitated. Ever since school started that day from 8:45am until lunch time, Kim was being “healed” by Sera on the bus on the way to school, during form assembly, throughout a double period of Literature, throughout the entire recess break and another double period of math.

Kim blamed Sera’s insomnia on this new method of annoyingness. She couldn’t sleep, so she had watched a program on late night television about a priest and his believers. The priest would touch a person that needed to be healed - such as a man who was confined to a wheel chair and make him walk again. He would press his palm gently on people’s foreheads and exclaim “Heal.” And that was where the idea had stemmed from, except when Sera did it she did it roughly and would yell out “HEAL!” besides, her ultimate goal wasn’t to heal but to annoy.

Sera was much taller than Kim, had a much more fair complexion and wore a scarf around her head. Her height had given her power and allowed her to annoy shorter people and Kim was her ultimate target.  Kim thought that Sera annoyed her to stay awake during school hours. It was probably true. Sera laughed thinking it was funny, walking towards Kim once again in the locker room, her palm ready to collide with her best friend’s forehead. She saw it coming and finally after her patience blew up.

“HEAL!” Kim yelled out before Sera got to her, trying to reach Sera’s forehead but missed and hit her nose instead.  Sera felt a massive throbbing pain and soon blood began to flow from her nostrils. Girls in the locker room gasped, while Kim stood there - surprised. She began to laugh hysterically and so did Sera. The girls in the locker room stared at them – they obviously went mad due to the immense amount of pressure year twelve had laid upon them.

However, once the blood dried up, Sera and Kim made up and hugged. At the end of the day they both knew that although they both got mentally and physically violent towards each other and put each other though mental and physical anguish they would always be the best of friends.
